How to turn off battery optimization on Huawei devices
Huawei is using very aggressive battery optimization settings on many of their devices, causing Android apps to doze shortly after the screen goes off. This can cause Fitbit or Fitbit Sync Fix to stop background serices to work and result in other undesirable behavior. Here's how to fix it:
1 Open the Settings on your Huawei device.
2 Tap Apps
3 Tap Settings
4 Tap Special access
5 Tap Ignore optimisations
6 Choose All apps
7 Find and tap on Fitbit and Allow
8 Find and tap on Fitbit Sync Fix and Allow
9 Open the Settings on your Huawei device again.
10 Tap Apps again
11 Select Fitbit, select App Info, and Tap on Battery
12 Make sure the Power-intensive prompt option is disabled
13 On the same page, switch Launch from Automatic to Manage Manually
14 Enable all the Manage Manually options
15 Repeat the 11,12,13,14 steps with the Fitbit Sync Fix application
